Brand Guidelines

Overview

These guidelines are for partners, developers, customers, and other parties wishing to use Tulsa Valley Bancshares Corporation’s (hereinafter, “TVBC”) trademarks, service marks or images in promotional, advertising, instructional, or reference materials, or on their web sites, products, labels, or packaging. Use of the Brand Assets, as defined below, for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of TVBC may constitute trademark infringement and unfair competition in violation of federal and state laws. Use of TVBC trademarks may be prohibited, unless expressly authorized.

If TVBC has provided you with special trademark usage guidelines separate from the guidelines set forth herein, please follow those guidelines.

Ownership

Unless otherwise indicated, this website and all content and other materials therein, including, without limitation, all logos, designs, text, graphics, pictures, information, data, software, sound files, other files and the selection and arrangement thereof (collectively, “Brand Assets”) are the property of TVBC and are protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. VAST., V., VAST.BANK and other trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos used in connection with the website are trade names, trademarks or registered trademarks of TVBC, including U.S. Trademark Registration Nos. 5,945,531, 5,933,554 and 5,945,530, and are included in the Brand Assets. Other trademarks, service marks, graphics and logos used in connection with the website are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners (collectively “Third Party Marks”). The Brand Assets and Third-Party Marks may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without the prior written permission of TVBC or the applicable trademark holder. The website and content are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, international treaties, state and federal laws, and other proprietary rights and also may have security components that protect digital information only as authorized by TVBC or the owner of the content. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Dos and Don’ts for Brand Assets

To help you understand what you can and can’t do with TVBC’s Brand Assets, we have created this non-exhaustive list of Dos and Don’ts. 

In general, wordmarks can be used to truthfully convey information about your product or service, as long as customers and the public will not be confused into believing TVBC is affiliated with or endorses your product or service. However, TVBC’s logos, app and product icons, illustrations, photographs, videos, and designs can never be used without express permission.

Please review these additional tips to better understand how you can more clearly communicate the role that our Brand Assets convey in your communications.

 

Do:

  1. Use or display Brand Assets in a manner that is less prominent that your own brand or company name.
  2. Use trademarks as adjectives before nouns (e.g., VAST Banking Solutions).
  3. Always use a period at the end of the word VAST.
  4. Clearly communicate the relationship if your product, service, or solution works together with TVBC.
  5. Include a footnote to give notice that you are using TVBC’s trademarks, e.g., “VAST, VAST BANK and V. are trademarks of the Tulsa Valley Bancshares Corporation.”

Don’t:

Without a written license or express permission from TVBC, do not do the following:

  1. Don’t use TVBC’s Brand Assets in the name of your business, product, service, app, domain name, social media account, other offering, or business indicator.
  2. Don’t use TVBC’s logos, icons, or designs, including the below stylization, in any manner.

        

  1. Don’t imply an affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, or approval with or by TVBC when one does not exist.
  2. Don’t alter, animate, modify, distort, disparage, or misappropriate TVBC’s Brand Assets, for example, by combining TVBC’s Brand Assets with other terms, misspellings, or incorporating them into a tagline or slogan, etc.
  3. Don’t use TVBC’s Brand Assets as nouns or verbs.
  4. Don’t use or display TVBC’s Brand Assets more prominently than your own brand(s) or company name.
  5. Don’t use TVBC’s Brand Assets in the name of a user group, fan group, banking communities, or other organization name, irrespective of whether the group or organization is a non-profit.
  6. Don’t use TVBC’s Brand Assets on any tangible goods or packaging, including any promotional, marketing, swag, or other items, such as on t-shirts, notepads or mousepads.
  7. Don’t file any application or recordation to register terms or logos that are identical or similar to TVBC’s Brand Assets as a trademark, service mark, trade name, doing business as designation, or any other proprietary right.

Third Party Content, Sites, Products and Services (including Advertising and Promotions)

TVBC may provide third party content on the website (including embedded content) or links to third-party web pages, content, applications, products and services, including advertisements and promotions (collectively, “Third Party Content”) as a service to those interested in such services or information. We do not control, endorse or adopt any Third-Party Content, including that the inclusion of any link does not imply affiliation, endorsement or adoption by TVBC of any site or any information contained therein, and can make no guarantee as to its accuracy or completeness. You acknowledge and agree that TVBC is not responsible or liable in any manner for any Third-Party Content or services provided by such third parties and undertakes no responsibility to update or review such Third-Party Content. You agree to use such Third-Party Content or services contained therein at your own risk. When you use or visit other sites via Third-Party Content or participate in promotions or business dealings with third parties, you should understand that our terms and policies no longer govern, and that the terms and policies of those third-party sites will now apply. You should review the applicable terms and policies, including privacy and data gathering practices, of any site to which you navigate from our website. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the website.

Legal Notice

Any use of TVBC’s Brand Assets inures solely to TVBC’s benefit and all use must comply with the guidelines set forth herein, or other licensing/contractual arrangements with TVBC, if applicable. Third parties may never claim ownership rights in TVBC’s Brand Assets, or brands that are confusingly similar to TVBC’s Brand Assets, in any manner, including without limitation as a trademark, service mark, company name or designation, domain name, social media profile, social media handle, or in any other manner.

TVBC expressly reserve the right in its sole discretion to terminate, revoke, modify, or otherwise change permission to use its Brand Assets at any time and expressly reserves the right to object to any use or misuse of its Brand Assets in any jurisdiction worldwide.

All use of Brand Assets, including advertisements, will comply with the requirements set forth by the Truth in Savings Act (TISA) pursuant to 12 U.S.C. § 707.

No one may use the Brand Assets in a way that violates or would cause the TVBC to violate any applicable laws, regulations or rules of the Federal Reserve, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the State of Oklahoma, the Consumer Federal Protection Bureau (including, without limitation, UDAAPs under Dodd-Frank Act, Title X, Subtitle C, Sec. 1036; PL 111-203 and Truth in Savings under 12 (U.S.C. § 707), the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and any other regulator relevant to the activities of TVBC.

The user's access to and use of the Web site, and the terms of this disclaimer are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma.
